Francky Criquet is a French artist whose work spans painting, sculpture, and ceramics. Through vibrant colors and symbolic forms, he explores human emotions and the complexity of life. Balancing energy and poetry, his work invites viewers into a deeply personal and reflective experience.
Born in 1968 in La Flèche, France, Francky Criquet is a self-taught artist whose passion for art emerged at an early age. Raised in a family of antique dealers and scrap merchants, he grew up surrounded by old objects, paintings, and engravings that shaped his imagination and artistic vision. His talent quickly became evident: as a child, he created his first murals and won the Young Painting Award of Le Mans at the age of twelve.
Over the years, he developed a multidisciplinary practice encompassing painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, and writing. His artistic journey led him to Spain, where he worked alongside painter Julio Fernandez Ceballos Montalban, and later to England, where he produced several hundred works.
For more than thirty years, Francky Criquet has exhibited extensively in France and abroad. His work has been shown in Brazil, the Netherlands, Italy, the United States, and China, among other countries. Driven by a constant need to create, he continues to pursue a unique and independent artistic practice, exploring color, materiality, and the complexities of the human condition.
