Ernest Massuet is a Spanish sculptor best known for his animal representations, particularly horses characterized by remarkable anatomical precision and elegance.
From an early age, he developed a deep passion for horses: at around seven years old, he was given a mare named Daina, with whom he spent countless hours, nurturing the inspiration that would later define his art.
He began modeling animals in clay and plastic during his youth, already expressing the artistic language that would become his signature.
His vocation was confirmed when one of his mentors or trainers advised him to dedicate his life to sculpture. He was later supported by the Lladró company, which awarded him a scholarship and allowed him to master porcelain sculpture—a demanding medium due to its technical challenges, such as shrinkage during firing and maintaining proportions.
Throughout his career, Ernest Massuet has combined artistic sensitivity, anatomical accuracy, and technical mastery to create works of great refinement, often produced in limited editions. His sculptures are collected worldwide, exhibited internationally, and admired for their elegance and expressiveness.
